Son Mut Fountain
Llucmajor (Mallorca), 2013
Fountain and drinking trough for birds on rustic property
Santanyí Stone: Salvà-Llull C.B.
A fountain constructed with marès blocks (Santanyí stone concretely) extracted directly from the quarry.
The blocks of 40x80cm marès are stacked on three different levels in a quadrangular geometric plant. At each level, a large surface with a maximum surface and low depth collects and spills the water collected in a lower partition. Water moves through the ends and it’s accumulated in large areas. Becoming, thus the fountain, in a large trough for wild birds.
